PS A2/7 “ A TASTE OF ITALY”
Art and Nature, Villas and Gardens, Wines and Cooking, Traditions in: Cotto, Fashion, Jewellery and Perfumes!



This is a unique proposal for small groups of friends, with common love for many aspects of life!

Wishing to enjoy: Art and Nature, Villas and Gardens, Wines and Cooking, Traditions in: Cotto, Fashion, Jewellery and Perfumes!Having a privileged access to private palaces and villas, to artist studios and secret gardens in Florence and in the enchanting Tuscan countryside!

The villa is a 3 star Hotel, with a formal garden, full of lemon trees, roses and wild orange-trees, with the addition of a very pleasant swimming pool in the sixties, and is surrounded by a park- It is a National Monument with the longest loggia in Tuscany and is located 5 miles/8Km from the centre of Florence. In one hour by car, you can reach:  the sea, the mountains and small cities full of art, like: Pistoia, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Siena and the Chianti area


Our programme include: Bed and Breakfast at Hotel Villa Villoresi in a standard double room - 1 Welcome cocktail and presentation of the program- 4 Dinners à la carte at the Villa and 5 light lunches during the excursions- 2 Full day Excursions in the Chianti region and Siena and in Lucca and Pisa - 3 Full day excursions in Florence and nearby -4 Special Events and visits- 1 Cooking lesson with lunch- Guide from arrival to departure- Bus transportation for 2 Transfers from Florence airport or station and for the excursions- Museum and collection entrance fees- Final Gala’ dinner with special guests-


Daily Programme: 1º Day, Mon- Arrival in Florence transfer from the airport or station and check-in at the Villa-At 7pm: Cocktails, the owner of the villa will present the program and the personalities involved.

The Medici Villa “ La Petraia”

2° Day Tue. Full day excursion in Florence and Fiesole.  Starting from the nearby Medici villa of “ La Petraia” to see the King’s apartments and one of the first designed gardens of the Renaissance, then to Fiesole: the Cathedral, the Roman Amphitheatre and Florence at your feet. Light lunch - Then downtown to see the Uffizi Gallery, the most important collection of Primitives and Renaissance painting and much more. Special Event: at the Academy of Perfumes, in a private Florentine palace to be seduced by the power of perfume and discover certain scents. Presentation of the Art of Perfumery and a drink with a spectacular view of the city. Possibility of shopping in the Palace.  Back to the Villa for dinner

Impruneta: the “cotto”

3° Day, Wed.: Full day in Impruneta, the Chianti area and Siena: Visit at Impruneta “ the terracotta tradition from Brunelleschi’s dome to the present day “ Special visit: an artisan while he is working at “cotto” vases and decorations that are used in so many gardens in Tuscany. Travel through the gorgeous Chianti area, where you will visit the rare oil and wine cellars of a private farm and villa. A light lunch in the farm with local cheeses and specialties, tasting their olive oil and winesAfterwards to Siena to see the superb square of the “Il Palio” with the fountain of J.della Quercia, the Cathedral and the Opera del Duomo to see the Maestà of Duccio. Back for dinner.

4° Day, Thurs.: 1 Full day in Florence to see Michelangelo’s David and other masterpieces at the Academy and at the Medici Chapels. Then to Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the family home of Lorenzo the Magnificent, to see a small chapel painted by B. Gozzoli, one of the Kings is Lorenzo. A walking tour in the centre to see the Cathedral, the Baptistery with its golden doors and the Giotto bell tower. Light lunch in town. Special Event: In a gorgeous Villa with a garden and a fantastic view over the city to see the new Roberto Capucci High Fashion Foundation in Florence, with some gorgeous creations, many drawings, pictures and audiovisuals, true enjoyment! Dinner and evening free. At  10.30 p.m. if you wish, transfer back to the villa.

Pisa: Miracle’s Square

5° Day, Fri-1 Full day excursion to Lucca and Pisa: A special visit to discover Villa Torrigiani, a gorgeous private Villa and its garden. Then to see the city of Lucca, of roman origin, with beautiful cathedrals and palaces and the famous walls, later Elisa Bonaparte, the sister of Napoleon, became the princess of Lucca. Light lunch - Then, if possible, a visit to the home-studio of Giacomo Piccini, where many of his operas were composed and to Pisa: to see the leaning tower and the Miracle’s square. Back to the villa for dinner.

6° Day, Sat.: 1 Special Event: Cooking! Morning dedicated to Cooking: in the family kitchen of a XVI century Villa, at a five-minute walk from Villa Villoresi, the owner will give you a cooking lesson. You will start by picking  vegetables and aromatic plants from her vegetable garden, she will give you some information about Florentine cooking and table decoration, then you will prepare a full lunch of your choice together and eat with her and her family what you have cooked. Transfer to Florence. Afternoon and dinner free.

7°Day, Sun. In Florence: Visit to the Stibbert Museum, an impressive collection of Renaissance and Oriental arms and armature given to Florence by an English Gentleman. Then Pitti Palace: Palatine Gallery, the Carriages and Boboli Gardens. Light Lunch. Special Event: the director of the Silver Museum of Pitti Palace, will give you a guided visit, showing the ancient silversmiths, other collections and recent acquisitions of modern jewellery, speaking about “ Jewellery from M. Luisa de ’ Medici, to the great artists of today” Back to the villa for a Gala’ Dinner with guests!

8° Day, Mon. Departure. Transfer to airport or station and departure from Florence.
